Merger - I Wanna Be Your Man / You Pick Me Up on MGR - EX | $200

Rare Modern Soul AOR from Michigan. You Pick Me Up is a dancer with strong synth lines while the flip is a midtempo shuffler. Comes with the original picture sleeve which has a couple of tears and a few age spots, graded at VG.

The Lovettes - I Need A Guy / I'm Afraid (to say I love you) on Carnival - EX | $75

Great classy midtempo Northern Soul on the A-side, worth the price of admission! The flip makes this a solid double-sider with a sweet beat ballad.

The Fire Ants Band - Fun At The Disco / Sea Of Love on It's - VG | $50

Obscure Louisiana funky Soul that rarely turns up. Strong horns and steady beat, leading into really nice female vocal lead with great chorus. Plays better than its visual grade, closer to VG+. The B-side is not very good and skips.

Bill Norris - Confidential Lover / Saturday Night's Special on B.M.F. - EX | $150

Really excellent and hard to find midtempo Modern Soul with an excellent groove and great vocals.

Lynn August - One Way Ticket / Happy Go Dreamer on Preview - EX | $20

Excellent recent discovery gaining steam in the Soul scene. A-side is a nice floating 70s Crossover Soul tune.

Randolph Brown and Company - You Can Be Cured / Take A Few More Steps on Black Magic - EX | $100

Great 70s Crossover Soul side, this song also appears on the later IV Chains release with a different flip. This original issue is the only way to own on vinyl, as the other issue is styrene.

Roxbury Drive - Come Make Love / Lover Of Life on Calico - VG | offers starting at $300

Relatively unknown Modern Soul floater. I've only seen it show up on a few playlists, otherwise is not cataloged on the internet. This one is worth a listen, as it will likely not come up for sale again anytime soon! Vinyl plays well, but the label has seen better days, as you can see. Will leave open to offers for 5 days.

450 SL - The Rock / The Rock on Golden Boy - strong VG+ | $40

Fairly common on 12". Electro Rap song all about the ills of 80s drug use. I have never seen this on 45 in 20 years. Definitely for the format collectors.

Donnie, Fonnie, & La Vorn - It's A Sweet Love / A Woman Who'll Let You Be A Man on Trump - EX | $80

Memphis 70s Sweet Soul that really builds into a harmony in the chorus. Nice at this price.

Dave Clark JR - Color Blind / I Need Love on RSP - EX | $60

Boogie 2-sider that bumps right up against Electro. This is one of those beautiful records that straddles both genres and could be played sets of either kind of music. A-side is a bit more meditative and dark while the B-side is for the dancefloor.

The Prominents - Just A Little / You're Gonna Lose Her on Lummtone - EX | $225

Classic Northern Soul from the Los Angeles area in top condition. For sale for £200 elsewhere.

I.N.D. - You Just Be You / I'm Not Ready on Momisey - VG+ | $75

Excellent Modern Soul Boogie that is still flying under the radar. I found 2 of these on my last trip and kept one for my collection. The change in the chorus sold me on this one, but the verse locks into a nice groove as well.

Reflections - Reflex / Be Mine All The Time on Memphis Music - EX | $100

This 45 is just starting to make waves on the scene, and has all the right elements to go big! Drum break intro, check. UBB hits for the dancers, check. Floating Disco song, check. Reflections is a certified floor filler. Cop it while you can!

The TMG's - Agravation / Takes A Little Time on TMG - VG- | $450

Classic Midwest Funk from Michigan that rarely comes up for sale these days. The driving beat and horns make this a dancefloor winner that never gets old. The condition could be better visually, but, as you can hear, the song plays strong and the noise is not prominent.

Bobbie Smith and The Dream Girls - Your Lovey Dovey Ways / Now He's Gone on Big Top - VG+ | $65

Promo issue of this classic dark tinged Teen Popcorn record.

The Ovations featuring Louis Williams - Sweet Thing / Till I Find Some Way on XL - strong VG+ | $30

Classy 70s Crossover Modern Soul.

T. Mack Brown & The Soul Crusaders - The Pontch / Communicating on Mier - VG+ | $50

Rolling summer Funk instrumental from Detroit, rarely seen.

Steve Parks - Still Thinking Of You / Still Thinking Of You on Reynolds - EX | $125

One of the greatest records of all time. Period. Listen if you don't know. Buy if you don't have.

Curtis Gray - I Never Love Again / RJ King - Stop What You're Doing / W. Cockrell - Swap Meet part 1 / Swap Meet part 2 on OPS - EX | $225

One of the weirder records I've seen recently. Electronic Soul, Sweet Soul, and Deep Soul all on the same 7" EP? Listen to the soundclips and decide for yourself. The RJ King Sweet Soul side seems to be taking off first, but I think the W. Cockrell side is the most interesting in some respects.

Charles Ferguson & Company - I Wonder Where She's Gone part 1 / I Wonder Where She's Gone part 2 on Vision's Express - EX | $25

Synth Boogie about heartbreak.

Pat Taylor - Struttin' Your Stuff / One Of These Days on $ Monique $ - EX | $80

Blues tinged Sister Funk in the style of "It's Your Thing" from Los Angeles.

Ron Rush - You Got To Try part 1 / You Got To Try part 2 on Aidco - EX | $175

Uptempo 60s Soul that is never seen out of CA. This is not likely to be offered for sale again in some time.

Mint Cookie - Sweet Things to "G" / Daily Thang on Filthy Rag - EX | $40

Off-kilter Boogie 2-sider. The slower side seems to have caught on with the scene lately. Hard to find in Excellent condition.

Cilka and the Second Generation - He Left Me Behind / Polka Nova on Sidro - EX | $75

Polka Soul? Now that I've heard this I think I might have heard it all. This is a nice take on the classic "Tighten Up" riff with nice arrangements. A small quantity of this seemed to turn up, but is now gone.

The Soul Makers - Keep Lovin Me Baby / I'm Gonna Love You on Soulmakers - EX | offers starting at $300

Undocumented and unknown Island midtempo 70s Deep Soul that is really good. Mellow and sublime with strong vocals. Will leave open to offers for 5 days.
