Die Wetenskaplike Kommissie van die OIE sal 'n afvaardiging van kundiges teen die einde van 2014 na Suid-Afrika stuur om sekere regstellende maatreëls te verifieer. Die RPO het die Departement van Landbou, Bosbou en Visserye gelukgewens met die baie positiewe prestasie. Die RPO sal nou saamwerk met ander instansies asook met die departement en ander rolseplers in die bedryf om te voldoen aan hierdie maatreëls. Daar word beraam dat die plaaslike landbousektor jaarliks ongeveer R4 miljard verloor het weens die land sy Bek-en-Klouseer-status verloor het. Die RPO het ook die departement se topstruktuur bedank vir die konstruktiewe samewerking oor dieregesondheidkwessies, wat veral sedert 2013 momentum gekry het.
