Dear friends and fellow laborers,

Greetings once again from your fellow servants in Christ! The past couple of months we had the chance to experience this verse. We had some things happen that were discouraging, but thanks to the encouragement of our pastor and other friends, we keep on going by the grace of God, and during this month we got to have some really good times, and also got some new supporting churches!

We started out the month by heading down to Alabama, with meetings at Trinity Baptist Church in Oxford, and Victory Baptist Church in Millbrook. During the half week in between the meetings, we decided to go over to Gloryland Baptist Church in Birmingham, where they were having their annual Jubilee. We had a great time there, and got to fellowship with some friends we don’t see very often. At the end of the month we had another good meeting, up in Waynesburg, PA, with another Trinity Baptist Church. We really connected with the assistant pastor and his family, as we had a lot in common with them. Today, right before I sat down to write this letter, I had the opportunity to help out my parents. My dad and I had cut down a very large tree, and I intended to burn the wood out in the yard, but my dad’s neighbor wanted it for firewood. When my dad came to get the wood, his brake line broke in my driveway, so I was able to get it fixed. Better in the driveway than trying to stop at a light going down a steep hill!

Now that August is upon us, things are getting busier. Summer VBS, camp meetings, and vacations are winding down and we’re getting back into prime missions season, so to speak. We will be in Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania this month, which means we get to spend some time with our good friends in Deerfield for a couple of weeks! :-) Also, we should be able to start increasing the rate of scheduling meetings, booking into next year.

As I mentioned, this month we had two more churches partner with us, as well as one increasing their level of support, which brings us to about 31% of the needed support! We also had some opportunities to go on visitation with the church here in Ashland, which was fruitful. We thank you all for your prayers and financial support, and ask that you would continue to pray for us as we work to raise our support and get to Romania. We will be quite busy with meetings heading into the fall, and sometimes the other drivers on the road get a little crazy, so we need the Lord’s protection as always.

Serving the King of Kings,

The Reed Family
