& TRIVIA CHALLENGE

Signore e signori...MARK THE DATE ON YOUR CALENDARS............SATURDAY JUNE 25th. Come and join us for an ITALIAN DINNER which will be served at 6:30 p.m. We will be serving a mouth-watering menu, including the popular and delicious lasagnas ordered last year which came from Pasta Pantry in the Yonge-Davisville area. We'll have both a meat and vegetarian option. A few of us are working at preparing for an after-dinner Trivia Challenge where teams will compete to get the most right answers. This proved to be a fun addition to one of last year's dinners.
I will again ask that you reply whether you will be able to attend this social, so we can order the right amount of food. YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY JUNE 22ND. Sign up with your first and last name either in the clubhouse on the sign-up sheet, or on the link below but not in both places. If you change your mind, please email me Social@LawrenceParkTennisClub.ca so I can remove your name from the list.

Come on down for this fun social evening.
Mark this in your calendar for Wednesday evenings from now through August 17th. A fabulous idea if you're in the mood for some doubles tennis and want to work off your dinner. No need to pre-register or bring a partner, just show up at 7PM.

We are having an issue with court 3 being left unlocked (and, at times, the keys left dangling in the lock).
We do not have a full time court monitor so it is our responsibility to ensure the courts and clubhouse are securely locked when members leave.
Please follow the instructions on the clubhouse door if you are the last to leave. If you are having trouble please call a member of the Board or Tony - numbers are on the bulletin board and in the Directory.
And a reminder - the combination for the front gate and key cupboard can be found on our members' section of the website.

This year the men return to Toronto for the biggest tennis event in Canada--the Rogers Cup. Please note that the tournament is being held a week earlier than usual due to the Rio Olympics in August. Mark down these dates: July 23rd to 31st, when the top male pros take centre stage up at the Aviva Centre on the grounds of York University. This is the last hard court event prior to the Olympics where they will be playing on hard court, so we anticipate a great showing of the top players in both singles and doubles as they prepare for Rio.
Again this year, Tennis Canada is pleased to offer discounted ticket prices to LPTC members (and their family and friends). To take advantage of this offer, please see the information below. Get a group together or come alone and make a day/evening of it. There is a lot to do between matches--shopping, eating/drinking, promotional give-aways, etc., and new this year—special performances during the event by Cirque du Soleil!
