There were 3,444 home closings reported for the month of September, according to figures provided by the Greater Nashville Association of REALTORS®. That number is up 10.3 percent from the 3,122 closings reported for the same period last year.
Third quarter numbers have increased from 2014 with 11,046 closings reported, which is 15 percent higher than last year’s third quarter closings of 9,606.
Year-to-date closings for the Greater Nashville area are 28,252. That total is up 13.3 percent from the 24,942 closings reported through the third quarter of 2014.

Davidson County
Home sales were up 1% in September with 1,629 sales recorded for the month compared to 1,610 recorded in September of last year.
Average sales prices were up 15% to $263,721 from $228,987 last September.
Year-to-date home sales are up 14% and average home sales prices are up 13% from the same period in 2014.
Antioch (37013) had the most home sales for the month with 196 recorded averaging $166,540.
Green Hills (37215) had the highest average sales price of $649,476 across 68 sales.
38% of home sales were between $100,000-$199,999.
Home sales over $1 million were up 12% from last September with 19 recorded for the month compared to 17 recorded last year.

Williamson County
Williamson County is the 34th fastest growing county in America - grown 12% since 2010.
Home sales were up 16% with 620 sales recorded for the month compared to 533 recorded last September.
The average sale price was $423,008, virtually unchanged from last year.
Year-to-date home sales are up 12% and average sales prices are up 4% from the same period in 2014.
Franklin West (37064) had the most home sales for the month with 155 sales recorded averaging $390,167.
Brentwood (37027) had the highest average sales price of $634,945 across 118 sales.
Home sales over $1 million were down 13% from last year with 14 recorded for the month.
25% of home sales were between $300,000-$399,999.
