#givingtuesday

On December 1, 2015 all across America people will be donating to their favorite charity in an effort that Congress has declared as Giving Tuesday.
The Bipartisan Congressional Resolution states:
“Many of us are drawn to the possibility of being part of something bigger than ourselves. Congress earlier this week passed a bipartisan resolution endorsing the benefits of charitable giving and expressing support for #GivingTuesday, a social movement that encourages giving in all its forms by people and communities across the country. #GivingTuesday, celebrated annually on the Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, provides an annual opportunity to create a moment of national unity around giving and a more engaged citizenship.” About Giving tuesday
Changing Course Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been providing Adventure Based Learning and Counseling since 1998.
Our income comes from program fees, however we are continually working with organizations that are struggling with funds or have no funds in order for their students, volunteers, families or workers to attend a program and have a life changing experience on a challenge course.
Two of these organizations are:
Higher Peaks http://higherpeaks.org/
Methodist Health Dallas, Junior Volunteer Program.
In 2016 we will be partnering with these two organizations plus a few more to provide an unforgettable outdoor adventure experience and if needed counseling services.
And we will be doing this at no cost.
This year Changing Course Foundation is participating in #givingtuesday in order to help defray some of the costs for our new programs.
Our programs help participants learn to communicate more effectively, build efficient teams, trust others, learn how our behaviors can affect others and can help us to learn how to overcome fear.
Research concerning Adventure Based Programs has proven that these experiential learning programs help participants to think in new ways, communicate differently, teaches participants to work with others and promotes awareness of self and others.
Please help us help others by giving on December 1st, 2015 to our new programs!
All donations are tax exempt and will be used only for programming, 0% of donated funds are used for administrative costs.
