The Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE) continues its launch of learning cohorts of governmental jurisdictions that are systemically advancing racial equity with a new series debuting this week in Southern California.

This follows on the successful debuts of cohorts in Northern California and the Twin Cities this past week. In Minnesota, 13 jurisdictions gathered in Woodbury, MN for a two-day intensive orientation to the strategies that will frame the series.

In Oakland, more than 125 local officials and community partners gathered to hear Nelson and john a. powell from the Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society speak on the formative racial equity issues of the day.
