Women's Mini Marathon
It’s a New Year and for most of us we are thinking about trying to eat a bit healthier and exercising a bit more.  So why not have something to aim for and register for this year’s Women’s Mini Marathon.  The race is 10km and will take place on the June Bank Holiday Monday, 6th June 2016. The race is for all ages and all fitness levels, so why not get a group of friends or family together and start walking, jogging or running now.

Registrations are open from the 17th February and you register online by logging onto www.vhiwomensminimarathon.ie or fill out an entry form printed in the Evening Herald every Wednesday and Saturday. You must register to ensure you have your race number to allow you to take part on the day and to receive your commemorative medal. We would like to remind you this is a FEMALE ONLY event, the minimum age for walkers, joggers and fast joggers is 14years and for runners and elite runners is 18 years.

If you are thinking of taking part this year, we would really appreciate your support and would ask you to fundraise in aid of the I.H.S.  You can raise funds by setting up a fundraising page on MyCharity.ie or we can provide sponsorship cards, which every works for you.

The I.H.S will have a room in Buswells Hotel on the day, so come along to collect your T-Shirt before the race.  In
Buswells we will look after your belongings while you are taking part in the race, and then join us after for some refreshments as our way of saying thank you.

If you would like to take part in aid of the I.H.S., please contact me on 01-6579900 or email nina@haemophilia.ie to register your interest or if you have any queries.

Thank you!

Making a Difference (MAD) with the I.H.S.
Here in the Society we have an absolutely brilliant bunch of volunteers. They are MAD in every sense and we would be lost without them. They definitely make a difference to our work and the lives of the children they look after at our events! If you think that you would be interested in joining this team while making great friends and having fun we are always looking for new volunteers. If you are interested click here to fill in the application form. Our main use of volunteers is assisting the staff at events - would you be interested in helping out with one of our children's groups? Are you a budding photographer - maybe you could take photos for our publications and website. Every little helps, for more information or to discuss the possibility of volunteering, contact Fiona on 01 657 9900 or email fiona@haemophilia.ie
