Summer is almost here, and I have hit the ground running! June is packed full of gigs and events and I'm thanking my lucky stars.
In addition to 3 dates with the Hip Hop artist Decora I've got 3 solo electronic performances and shows with my old friends Piktor's Metamorphosis, Thunderhead Organ Trio & Blue Food.

Project launch for Judy Thomas 's site-responsive sculptural installation 'MATRIX:RENWAL' . Doors open at 6pm. I'll be doing a special solo music performance at 7pm. BYO whatever you want - casual. Free & open to public.
Judy Thomas' project MATRIX:RENWAL will begin June 1st, and continue through the end of the month.

Rising hip hop artist DECORA presents a curated night of music, fine arts, fashion, and performance for his new album in the city of Newburgh on the evening of June 6, 2015. A roster of Hudson Valley and New York City based guest performers will be revealed the evening of the event. An unprecedented integration of hip hop, performance art, unique cocktails, and fashion will mark the evening, with nods to stylistic influences such as the theatre sensation Sleep No More and of-the-moment urban lifestyle brands such as Hood By Air. If you love electronic music, then join us at the Newburgh Free Library for my monthlyElectronic Music Meetup "Wired Wednesdays", which is now on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. I'll be bringing in hands-on tech doing more focused presentations and featuring special guests. As always, this series is free to the community at large. If you like, you can RSVP

The June Wired Wednesday will be the last one before summer break. We will resume in September.
Piktor's Metamorphosis returns to the Salem Roadhouse Cafe in Union NJ. The full quartet featuring Brian Mooney, Monroe Quinn, Danny Pagan and myself will be transporting you back to the classic Jazz-Rock fusion era. If you love Return to Forever, Jan Hammer, Jeff Beck, Pat Metheny, Pat Martino, and John Scofield you won't want to miss this. It's some serious fun!

The ThunderHead Organ Trio continues their monthly residence at the Wherehouse in Newburgh on third thursday of every month with a show on Thursday June 18th. There's never a cover, so please come out and enjoy their awesome beer selection & great menu. As always, it's Joe Gil (trombone), Jason Furman (drums/sampler) and yours truly on keyboards; No Cover, a massive beer selection and the food is awesome. :) 8:00 pm!

Decora (short for De Corazon) is an emcee and poet out of the Hudson Valley. As a member of a world-renowned Spoken Word group known as The ReadNex Poetry Squad he completed 8 tours in over 12 countries and 35 states across the U.S. The Newburgh Illuminated Festival aims to highlight all the things that make Newburgh the charming, culturally diverse city that it is. This year we will be celebrating our 150th birthday with a veritable world of food from local purveyors, and featuring live music all day on multiple stages. No cover.

BEACON RIVERFEST

Beacon Riverfest is an annual outdoor rain-or-shine rock, world music and food festival held in late June on the banks of the Hudson River in Beacon's Pete and Toshi Seeger Riverfront Park. There is no other such event in Dutchess County. While there are other outdoor live music events in the Hudson Valley, Beacon Riverfest stands out as a mass-transit accessible, and inclusive world-class event with strong production values, great bands, and great food. Decora will have the full live band. We go on around 2 pm. Tickets HERE

"A SAMPLING OF WORLDS" - a retrospective collection featuring tracks from 18 years worth of recorded music. Also contains an unreleased track "Spring is Here", recorded live in 2010.
