HEAVY WEATHER: A Tribute to the Music of
JOSEF ZAWINUL
Featuring MR GONE with Special Guests
The big show this month is a Birthday tribute to the music of JOE ZAWINUL with Mr. Gone & many Special Guests. One of my major influences, Joe is well known as a maverick synthesist, unparalleled fusion composer and leader of the iconic ensemble WEATHER REPORT. at tonight's Concert. The show will visit the full range of Zawinul’s career, from his days with Cannonball Adderley and Miles Davis, through Weather Report and his exploratory World Fusion work with the Zawinul Syndicate.

The ThunderHead Organ Trio continues their monthly residence at the Wherehouse in Newburgh on third thursday of every month with a show on Thursday June 18th. There's never a cover, so please come out and enjoy their awesome beer selection & great menu. As always, it's Joe Gil (trombone) and yours truly on keyboards; No Cover, a massive beer selection and the food is awesome. :) 8:00 pm!

Mr Gone returns to one of our favorite NJ venues, Maxfield's On Main in Boonton NJ. For this gig we welcome the wonderful Nadav Snir-Zelniker on drums, in addition to Ratzo Harris (bass), Peter Furlan (saxes) and myself (keys). 8:30 start, $10 cover.

Piktor's Metamorphosis returns to 10th street Live as part of this great lineup. The quartet features Brian Mooney, Monroe Quinn, Danny Pagan and myself playing tunes from the classic Jazz-Rock fusion era, a la Return to Forever, Jan Hammer, Jeff Beck, Pat Metheny, Pat Martino, and John Scofield. It's a night of full tilt hi energy music all around! Tix $12 in advance, $15 at the door.

In our 3rd gig this month, Mr. Gone is featured in the Jazz Forum Arts Free Summer Concert series. This show takes place at the beautiful Pierson Park, on the waterfront in Tarrytown NY. In addition to Ratzo Harris (bass), Peter Furlan (saxes) and myself (keys), drummer Richie Morales joins the group for some old school high energy jazz fireworks! 6:30 pm; absolutely free.

"A SAMPLING OF WORLDS" - a retrospective collection featuring tracks from 18 years worth of recorded music. Also contains an unreleased track "Spring is Here", recorded live in 2010.
