"Protect the Progress We've Made"

In 2000, the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) was created and has since become one of the most important anti-trafficking legislation in the United States. This legislation not only provides the legal definition for trafficking, but also the foundation for survivor and victim advocacy efforts.

Now, 17 years later, TVPA is due for re-authorization. In July, the House of Representatives voted for and passed the re-authorization. Next comes a vote in the Senate.

National organizations such as Polaris Project are asking you to let your senators know how crucial TVPA is to anti-trafficking advocacy. Through their page, Act Now, Polaris makes writing a letter to your senators effortless.

Click the link to create a statement of support for the TVPA through Polaris Project. If you would rather call in or send additional letters of support, National Priorities provides the phone numbers and addresses of your senators.
