Thanks for Helping Us Celebrate Our New Chapter

Thanks to all of you who came to our annual party last Thursday to help us celebrate the start of our nonprofit's new chapter as Green Built Alliance. We were overwhelmed by the turnout and enthusiasm, and can't imagine a better gathering of new and old friends to help us mark this momentous occasion.
Special thanks are due to our amazing members, new and old, who sustain our organization all year long and represented what they offer the community with information and displays at the event.
Gratitude also goes to Highland Brewing for hosting, The Wood Fired Oven for serving delicious food, Franklin's Kite for bringing the jams, Asheville Screen Printing for live-printing shirts with our new brand, and the dozens of local businesses (too many to name!) who donated items to our silent auction.
To learn more about this next step in our nonprofit's evolution and how we got here, please visit our latest blog on our new website:

Same Commitment to Community.

Buy Your Tickets Today or Sign Up As Sponsor for
Fifth Annual CiderFest NC

With our annual party in the rearview, we now look forward to our largest annual fundraiser just two weeks from Saturday: the fifth annual CiderFest on Saturday, Oct. 7.
You can be a part of our nonprofit's event by buying tickets to attend CiderFest as a guest or signing your company up to support as an event sponsor.
The fourth annual CiderFest in 2016 connected a record-setting 1,200 people with 15 cider, mead and apple wine makers offering nearly 50 different varieties of cider and mead. The 2017 event is expected to draw another sell-out crowd to sample sips from an even larger mix of local and national, small and large pourers. While sipping cider and mead, guests can enjoy samples of artisanal food, live music and performances, local arts and crafts, a kids zone, and more, all amid a breathtaking backdrop of fall colors beside the scenic French Broad River.

APPALACHIAN OFFSETS: Visit Chiesa Restaurant This Month To Donate Toward
Isaac Dickson Solar Project
Appalachian Offsets' Isaac Dickson Elementary School solar project is the featured charity for this month's Poor Box fundraiser at Chiesa restaurant in Montford. Housed in an old church and named for the Italian word for church, Chiesa supports a new charitable project each month by matching any donations made in the "poor box" near their front door to support the chosen recipient.
Visit Chiesa now through the end of September, donate toward Isaac Dickson's solar system in the poor box and your donation will be doubled by the restaurant's generous owners, Robert and Melissa Willingham.
Thanks to Chiesa for its generous support!
