| Thousands of Holocaust survivors pass away each year. Too often their personal details – their stories – go with them. January 27, 2016 was International Holocaust Remembrance Day. In honor of this day, we asked our member Casa do Povo in São Paulo, Brazil – a center devoted to those who died in the concentration camps – to speak about their history, the remarkable relationship between place and the imagination, and how remembering means acting. |

| New Members |
Preserving the histories of people who died poor and forgotten. Honoring the roughly 120,000 Japanese Americans unjustly incarcerated during World War II. Using the history of the slave trade to shape the future in Guadeloupe. And that's just a sampling of the extraordinary work our new members are doing.
The Coalition is proud to have recently welcomed new sites from Belarus to California. |

| New Staff |
Three new staff members have joined the Coalition in the past weeks.
Director of Development Risa Zoll will oversee fundraising to support the wide range of work carried out by the Coalition and its members.
Ashley Nelson will head Communications, enhancing the relations between the Coalition, its members and the public.
And Tramia Jackson will spearhead a new initiative on education, incarceration and civil rights in the U.S. |
