The C.A.S.E.Y. Fire Ops goal is to create and foster a career path to become a Firefighter/EMT in high school sophomores, juniors and seniors.
On Friday, April 7, all students will be participating in a Mock Version of the Physical Ability Test (See video https://youtu.be/T6nEMOMtl44).
The One-day camp on Saturday will provide educational opportunities and simulations of basic skills of a Houston Firefighter.
Students will be introduced and have an opportunity to wear firefighter personal protection equipment, and have a hands-on experience in the following evolutions (catch-a-hydrant, advance a hose line, forcible entry, search & rescue, and set-up a roof ladder)
At about 3:30 p.m. there will be an evolution finale in which the students will deploy from a fire engine to attack a simulated house fire.
