Ambassador Al-Fadhli added that they are willing to provide the support needed for the extension of new airport. On the same day, PM J. Erdenebat met with Her Britannic Majesty's Ambassador to Mongolia Catherine Arnold, during which he thanked her for providing Chevening Scholarships for 16 Mongolian students and asked about the possibility of increasing the quota. The main square to become Sukhbaatar Square once again
Summary: Yesterday, the Administrative Cases Court of Mongolia issued a final ruling regarding the dispute over the naming of the central square in Ulaanbaatar. The decision was made that the square will be known as its original name, Sukhbaatar Square. Three years ago, the City Representatives Council made a decision to rename the main square Chinggis Square, despite strong opposition from the City Council’s MPP Caucus and the grandchildren and relatives of the Mongolian revolutionary hero, D. Sukhbaatar. The City Representatives Council refused to overturn their decision even after the primary and intermediate level courts’ ruling. Therefore, the plaintiffs appealed to the Administrative Cases Court, where they ruled in their favor with no chance to appeal.
