GUILD NEWS & NOTES
A monthly newsletter to keep you informed.

Gearing up for more!

Amanda is finally back from maternity leave and has been working hard on several new exciting projects. Our next Advanced Teacher Training is in the works, as well as RUPI's very own intranet (to replace the Guild Portal), our 2016 fundraising kickoff, and the framework for supporting consultation jobs through RUPI. We also have a Curriculum group up and running who is busy designing curriculum structured around RUP for specific groups (i.e. body workers, graduate psychology programs). Interested? Email Amanda for more information.
The New 2016 Guild Portal
As of February 1, 2016 the former Guild Portal is no longer available. The new Guild Portal (with your own member login) is available to Teaching level members who have renewed for 2016. Need access? Renew at the Teaching level now.

If you've renewed as Teaching Member and you haven't received your login information or if you're having trouble logging in, just send an
 email to Amanda.

Are you ready to take your RUP training to the next level? It is an exciting time to take this training as consulting and curriculum development take a more prominent space at the Institute.

Here are some of the comments teachers made about the 2016 Advanced Training:

"I'm amazed at how this work has expanded and grown and its evolution through Cedar's untiring exploration and learning from the experiences of all participants. Those experiences, both positive and negative have deeply informed this work."

"This learning experience was great! Learning from others and receiving of feedback in small groups was extremely helpful and felt supportive!!"

"This was meaningful for me in so many ways. Great to have someone facilitate the process of a foundational look at who we are as a group."

Book of the Month:

How the Way We Talk Can Change the Way We Work
by Kegan Lahey

Why is the gap so great between our hopes, our intentions, even our decisions-and what we are actually able to bring about? Even when we are able to make important changes-in our own lives or the groups we lead at work-why are the changes are so frequently short-lived and we are soon back to business as usual? What can we do to transform this troubling reality?

In this intensely practical book, Harvard psychologists Robert Kegan and Lisa Laskow Lahey take us on a carefully guided journey designed to help us answer these very questions. And not just generally, or in the abstract. They help each of us arrive at our own particular answers that can solve the puzzling gap between what we intend and what we are able to accomplish. How the Way We Talk Can Change the Way We Work provides you with the tools to create a powerful new build-it-yourself mental technology.

You can order the book here
