Welcome Downtown!

And welcome to October! Seasons are changing here in downtown Selah and so are things at SDA. The summer months were sure busy! Between Second Saturdays and Selah's Wednesday Market, our calendar was packed full of fun events! However, now that the summer months are behind us, I am excited to have time to focus on developing strategies and a path forward for SDA.

As we speak, the SDA Board of Directors and myself are busy learning more about the National Main Street Center's newly-modified "Four-Point Refresh" approach to downtown revitalization. (Read more about the Refresh model here.) SDA is moving forward toward full adoption of this new approach and will post more about what this means for our local program as our strategies are further developed.

But, don't for a second believe that the fall months will be just about strategy! We're working hard to keep the events coming. Continue reading below for information about upcoming events and activities. Finally, I want to personally thank everyone involved last month in helping SDA bring the 1st Annual Red Carpet Gala to downtown Selah. I hope you had a ball and that you will join us again next year on the red carpet.

Sincerely,

Whitney Stohr
Executive Director
