Register a Team Today for the 2016 Asheville Affordable Living Design Competition

Our future is sustainable only if all people have opportunities to live in healthy and affordable homes. The Living Building Challenge (LBC) is a building certification program, advocacy tool and philosophy that defines the most advanced measure of sustainability in the built environment possible today.

In order to explore the intersection between the Living Building Challenge and Affordable Housing, Asheville LBC Collaborative has created a design competition which is hosted by the WNCGBC. The competition will be on a 2.46-acre site in downtown Asheville.

Team registration ends Sunday, Nov. 6. Participants are required to attend the Climate Adaptive Design workshop from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 at The Collider in downtown Asheville.
