Noon Wednesday, Dec. 12

14 Mimidis Lane, Swannanoa, NC
Green building is extremely popular in Buncombe County, and the Asheville-based Green Built Homes program has been a leader in educating builders and certifying homes statewide since 2004. With 1,580 Green Built certified homes and more than 250 participating builders, this is much more than a trend—it is a movement to protect the environment, support the health of occupants, cut utility costs, and increase the value of homes.
Come learn how you can boost the quality and value of homes through green building. Hosted by Asheville Home Builders Association, this two-hour course with lunch will provide the basics on the importance and how-to of green building, and an overview of how builders can get involved in the Green Built Homes program administered by the nonprofit Green Built Alliance. Lunch will be available starting at 11:30 a.m. with the program beginning at noon.
