As we near the end of summer, and thus, wedding season, we find ourselves reflecting on how much we have learned from you and grown as a community of steadfast support, respect, and tolerance.
In addition to our adventures in Tennessee earlier this season, we spent the last few weeks zipping back-and-forth across the country, meeting one-on-one with our ministers. We’ve taken the time to gather their stories and learn what it means to be a part of something moving and meaningful. We filmed these compelling conversations, and plan on sharing them cross-platform so that you and others can be inspired by your fellow AMM Ministers who have gone above and beyond in pursuit of their calling.
Here at AMM, we are continually looking for ways to provide new, free officiant resources and connect you with like-minded individuals. As we prepare for a new season of learning and preaching our gospel of love and community, we want to take this month’s newsletter to highlight our exciting, newest website feature: the AMM Wedding Wall.
We can’t wait for you to share your weddings, your words, your photos, and your stories.
Best,
Natasha Anakotta Outreach & Operations Manager
the wedding wall
What It Is:
AMM’s Wedding Wall, our all-new website feature at theamm.org, is special because it's the only place on the internet dedicated entirely to you. It was created specifically for AMM Ministers to share real pictures, stories, and scripts of wedding ceremonies to inspire other Ministers and couples.
How it Works:
Are you wondering what sort of ceremony you want to create? Browse ceremonies ranging from 'traditional' to 'new-age,' and see how other couples and ministers did it!
Once you’ve performed a ceremony of your own, you can upload your ceremony script, photos of the wedding, and share details about how you created that once-in-a-lifetime moment.
using the wedding wall: step by step
Step 1: Once you are logged into your account, start at the Wedding Helper tab on your profile page. Select the wedding that you would like to share on AMM’s Wedding Wall.
Step 2: Make sure that all of the action items are completed and then click the Proof Your Wedding button.
Step 3: Once you have checked that all the details, spelling, and grammar are correct, click the Publish This Wedding button.
...and that’s it! Once you have submitted your wedding for publication, one of our staff will review it, and if it meets our editorial standards, we’ll approve it and it will go live on the Wedding Wall!
