Community Fair Returns to KCD Native Plant Sale in 2020
KCD is bringing back the Community Fair to our Native Plant Sale on March 14, 2020! We’ll have partners, food trucks and helpful resources for your planting and conservation needs. Plan on staying awhile, bring some friends, and share in the conservation community.

KCD Board Elections
KCD is led by an all-volunteer, five-member board of supervisors. Board members contribute local perspectives on important natural resource management and conservation issues, seek feedback about conservation programs from district residents, set KCD policy, and direct KCD’s work plan and budget.
KCD will be holding an election Tuesday, February 11, 2020 to fill a board position. Online ballot access will be available beginning January 22, 2020.

2019 KCD Regional Food System Grant Program Awardees
In 2019, KCD awarded $600,000 in grants to support projects that contribute to the economic viability of local farmers, encourage new farmers, expand acreage in food production, improve food access, and increase demand for King County farm products.

KCD-Seattle Community Partnership Grant Program Awards $483,000 in 2019
The highly competitive King Conservation District (KCD)-Seattle Community Partnership Grant Program advances environmental equity in Seattle and awards approximately $400,000 each year.
Funded projects improve natural resources and are led by or are in deep partnership with communities that have been disproportionately impacted by combined impacts of environmental injustice and systemic racism.
