Fall Garden Workshop

More than 90 teachers, backyard gardeners, and community garden coordinators attended the Southern University Ag Center’s 8^th Annual Fall Garden Workshop on Nov. 26.

LFVGA Field Day

Farmers from across the state came to the LSU campus for the Fruit and Vegetable Field Day held at our Hill Farm teaching facility. Topics discussed included hyrdoponic and organic gardening, new blueberry varieties and herbicide research.

Southen SAWG

LA SARE facilitated travel to SSAWG in Little Rock for 22 scholarship awardees comprised of 7 LSU AgCenter agents from various parts of the state, 5 SU AgCenter agents, and 10 farmers and non-profit representatives, as well as 12 LSU students.
