Green Built Guide | April 2020

Share Your Projects and Expertise in 2020 Green Building Directory

We are starting the process of planning our 2020 Green Building Directory. With 25,000 copies distributed at 100 spots in Western North Carolina, this directory is a great way to share your company's offerings in the broader community and market your brand for high visibility in a targeted demographic.

We include listings for all members at the business level and higher, and there are several ways you can benefit from even more visibility in our 2020 issue.
  1. Contribute content. Each year, our directory is enriched with article features and case studies written by our members and about their projects. This year's directory will explore the intersection of affordable housing and green building, and how sustainability can be made more accessible to all. To be included, email story ideas to cari@greenbuilt.org.

  2. Place an ad or enhance your listing. Click here to review ad rates, then save your space by emailing hylah@smokymountainnews.com.

  3. Become a member. Whether you're joining for the first time or renewing after a lapse, there's no better time to become a member  and benefit from the marketing exposure.

These unusual times present an unparalleled opportunity to position your company for future growth and increase market share. Confirm your presence in our directory and help our organization continue advancing community awareness of green building, sustainability and your company's services.

Program Update:
Green Built Alliance Assumes Management of Energy Savers Network

Green Built Alliance is taking over management and operation of Energy Savers Network’s efforts to offer energy-efficiency upgrades to low-income homes in Western North Carolina, with intentions of continuing to expand the program's impact and reach.

In becoming the exclusive implementer of Energy Savers Network in Western North Carolina, Green Built Alliance assumes responsibility for fundraising, staff hiring and management, operational protocols, client recruitment and service, volunteer recruitment and retention, community outreach, website and promotions management, and bookkeeping.

The name Energy Savers Network will continue to be used to represent the weatherization work. An advisory board will be set up to help guide the management and volunteer engagement so critical to this effort. The board will also have a goal of teaching and inspiring  other organizations outside of Western North Carolina to implement this model of using volunteers and staff to perform weatherization upgrades.
