Action Alert:
NID Proposes Plan for Water Alternatives

After two failed Community meetings, Kolbe Consultants are returning this Wednesday to review the Plan for Water process, the public participation portion of NID's update to the Raw Water Master Plan (RWMP).

NID is now asking the Board to choose between two public processes: 1) the existing Plan for Water Community Representatives Group (CRG) or 2) the American Water Works Association M50 process

These two processes do not address the fundamental flaws in NID's approach to the RWMP. NID did not solicit public input for the process design, and will not incorporate public input into the technical aspects of the plan. NID is also still planning to spend $1.8 million on Centennial in 2019.

NID needs to start over and rebuild public trust, for our communities and for our water future.

For more information, read the full proposal here and ask questions this Wednesday at 9AM

WSFF Volunteers: Thank you!

SYRCL just celebrated the 17th Wild & Scenic Film Festival this past weekend, screening over 150 films and welcoming thousands to Nevada City and Grass Valley.

We also collected hundreds of signatures for our letter to Governor Newsom, asking him to help us save Yuba Salmon Now by prioritizing restoration in the Lower Yuba River.

On behalf of SYRCL, we want to say THANK YOU to all the Dam Watchdogs that volunteered their time and energy this past weekend. Your support allows us to continue our work to restore and protect the Yuba and Bear Rivers. We could not have accomplished such an event without your support.

If you haven't already, please sign our Letter to Governor Newsom here. Yuba Salmon are counting on you, and so are we.
