Brew Horizons Beer Fest Fundraiser

Join us next month as a sponsor or guest at our nonprofit's newest fundraiser, Brew Horizons Beer Fest, to support the Blue Horizons Project community campaign that operates out of our office.

The festival will allow people to enjoy unlimited samples of craft beverages from nearly two dozen regional breweries and cideries from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at the U.S. Cellular Center. Guests will also enjoy artisanal local food, arts and crafts vendors, live music and sustainability education areas.

Join Us Next Month at AHBA's Build and Remodel Expo

Come see us the first weekend of February at Asheville Home Builders Association's annual
Build and Remodel Expo at the WNC Ag Center.

Our members can attend the expo free by helping to work our resource booth at the event. In exchange for working a shift with us, you'll receive admission to the show, as well as the opportunity to use the time at our booth to connect with interested community members and network with like-minded businesses.

Green Built Homes Certification Program Evolving to Encourage Regenerative Design Elements

We are excited to be updating our Green Built Homes certification program this year to incentivize builders to incorporate elements of regenerative design in their projects. Click here to learn more!

Our statewide certification system will evolve beyond its current approach of rewarding features that make homes “less bad” for homeowners and the environment to begin encouraging more regenerative elements that actually improve the world around them.

As Green Built Homes looks toward the next chapter of weaving regenerative elements into its program, it is also celebrating the success of its Net Zero Certification level added in late 2015.  In three years, the program has certified 26 Net Zero Energy homes.

See below for information about five Platinum Net Zero Energy projects recently certified by Green Built Homes in November and December of 2018, including a Green Built Homes program record set by Sure Foot Builders for the lowest HERS Index to date!
