Redhead Days 2019 festival
23 to 25 august 2019
Tilburg, the Netherlands
we have a city, we have a date!
We have very good news, from a long list of candidate host cities, we selected Tilburg. The date will be the weekend of 23/24/25 August.
Tilburg
The organisers selected Tilburg from a broad range of candidate cities in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The organisers were impressed with the openness and spontaneity of Tilburgs residents and the city’s other numerous organisations. A lot of opportunities also present themselves in Tilburg: such as numerous café’s and pubs with outdoor service, etc, and, of course, the all-important city campsite! The Redhead Days organisation kindly calls upon all the citizens of Tilburg, its residents and its organisations to help, side by side, in making this year’s event another great and successful festival edition. For sure, we are set upon throwing a grand party.
Tilburg is near to Breda, slightly bigger, and it is a 1:09 hour train ride from Schiphol airport near Amsterdam.
23/24/25 August
The festival will be held August 23rd - 24th - 25th 2019 in the city centre of Tilburg. Although the festival is aimed at redheaded people from all over the world, it is not exclusive; all are welcome. The program starts on Friday evening, august 23, with the kick-off party, and on Saturday, August 24, activities will be held at selected city locations. Sunday. August 25, is planned to be the main festival day for visitors and residents alike, with activities hosted all around the city centre. Activities include music performances, lectures, games for children, dancing, exhibitions, photoshoots and much more. As the Redhead Days Festival draws in visitors form over 80 countries, local hotels are expected to be booked out for the duration of the festival.

Welcomed
In 2017 the festival organisers decided to search for a new host city for 2019. Many candidate cities were visited during 2017 and 2018. Some were suggested by the organisers themselves, some by festival attendees, and some cities invited the organisers to visit. The very first to invite the Redhead Days festival organisers was Marc Meeuwis, on behalf of City marketing Tilburg, who said that the Redhead Days Festival would be more than welcomed in Tilburg. Following this, the municipality of Tilburg has approved the formal application and reserved a spot on their festival calendar.

Organizers
The festival organisers thank all residents of Breda, all sponsors, entrepreneurs and other cooperating organisations for their support of the festival from 2007 to 2018. Without their support the festival wouldn’t have grown into what it is today.

More news about the festival and its program will be announced as we continue with the planning. If you want to stay posted, please keep an eye out for the newsletters and follow the festival Facebook page at www.facebook.com/RedheadDays/

Sponsors, volunteers and anyone with a bright idea – please contact the festival organisation. Together we will create a great event!
