A lot of effort goes into preparing this newsletter each month. As much as I put it together for you guys (I hope you like it!), I also do it for myself. It's important to be able to look back on each month having felt that time wasn't wasted.
February might be the shortest month of the year, but it certainly was busy. I wrote only one of the 17 articles we published this month, but that still means I edited 16 others. I also kept busy on the podcast front (see below) plus there are a couple other poker-related side projects I'm involved in that have filled a good deal of my time.
On a personal note, it's been quite a rollercoaster month. Social media (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, forums, comment sections, etc.) is somewhat of a double-edged sword. The platforms are great to help spread and share content, but it's critical to be on guard and have thick skin if and when the blades get aimed in your direction for whatever reason. With that said, it's also heartwarming to realize that many good people "have your back" in such a situation. Apologies if the above sounds cryptic, but I'll just end off by thanking those good people, and being thankful that social media platforms can be used for so much good. Gotta stay focused on the positive!
On a further (even more personal) note, life took a couple interesting turns this past month. My wife was abroad for a week, leaving me on sole parent duty for my three kids for the first time in a couple years. Soon upon her return home, my grandmother passed, leading me to pretty much "drop everything" to be with my Dad during his Shiva (mourning period).
So to circle back a bit, with all of that personal stuff demanding my attention, I'm that much more grateful to have been as productive as I was under the circumstances. Much like at the poker table, you can't control the cards you're dealt in life, but you certainly can do your best to play each hand to the best of your ability.

This past month on the Red Chip Poker Podcast, I had the pleasure of interviewing four interesting and entertaining individuals from the world of poker: Chris Moneymaker, Greg Vail, Ross Glover, and Joe Stapleton. Each episode has its own unique flavor, and it's pretty cool to have a gig that allows me to both reconnect with players and industry people I've known for a while as well as get to know new players and poker authors for the first time.
