Greetings Ministers, Friends and Family,

We’re officially in wedding season, and some of us probably already have a few 2019 weddings under our belts. If that’s you, don’t forget to upload your wedding vows and pictures to your “MY WEDDINGS” feature on our website. It’s a great way to keep track of weddings, and a simple interface that allows you to upload your ceremony scripts, pictures, and tell us (and everyone else reading your post) how the wedding went!

In other AMM related matters, we hope you are checking in with our blog, American Weddings, every now and then. We’ve run some articles that really resonated with you all, including articles written by Rockstar Officiants like Matt McMurphy, who runs Matt Marries You, and Rev. Laura Cannon, President of the International Association of Professional Wedding Officiants (IAPWO). If it’s your first, or even second or third wedding, you might learn something from them.

What’s next?

We’ve got a lot of exciting projects in the pipeline that will make officiating easier… and more fun!

For starters, we’re working on creating a comprehensive ecosystem where ministers will be able to share officiating and wedding details, and create detailed public-facing accounts that they can share with others. We had this feature on the old website, and we’re bringing it back by popular demand.

As always, thanks for being part of our incredible network of ministers. Together, we are helping to create communities and memories, so keep up the good work!

Yours,

Lewis King, Executive Director

Add Something to Your Ceremony Script to Make the Couple Lucky in Love

“No couple who has been married for 50 years ever looks back on their wedding and talks about the table linens.” That’s what prolific author and AMM minister Eleni Gage told us when we spoke to her about her new book, Lucky in Love: Traditions, Customs, and Rituals to Personalize Your Wedding.

Lucky in Love collects folklore, beloved customs, and little-known traditions from around the world to provide the couple with tips that will not only contribute to a special wedding day, but also an entire lifetime of luck and happiness.

According to Eleni, “Every ritual is so culturally specific, but they're all based on the same underlying ideas. Writing this book made me realize that we all want the same things: To be able to offer hospitality. For our children to be happy. For future generations to continue, and, of course, love, luck, and happiness.”

AMM strives to provide you the best tools to craft the perfect wedding ceremony, that’s why were offering Lucky in Love in our online store. The book has a whole chapter on mastering the wedding ceremony. Lucky in Love also makes a great gift for newly wedded couples that are beginning their life together.

If you want to read more about Eleni and her amazing journey that lead to her writing Lucky in Love, check out the full story on American Weddings.
