After two years of limited opportunities to gather as a community, we look forward to reuniting at our annual membership appreciation and networking party!

Wednesday, Sept. 7 at French Broad Outfitters' Hominy Creek outdoor location along the river from 5:30-8pm 

As always, this after-work party is open to the public and will include free food, live music, and a cash bar along to celebrate the past years' work of our nonprofit and the release of our 2022 Green Building Directory magazine.

We will be holding a silent auction with tons of amazing items and gift certificates available to bid on that have been donated from local businesses. Place your bid for a chance to win four VIT tickets to CiderFest NC, a free month and swag bag from OrangeTheory Fitness, a guided Mountaintop Yoga Hike with Asheville Wellness Tours, tickets to a show of your choice at The Orange Peel, or gift certificates to local restaurants like Pack's Tavern, Nine Mile, Corner Kitchen, Biscuit Head, Green Sage Café and so much more! There will be something for everyone at this event. Don't miss it!

Mingle with other green-building and sustainability-focused professionals and learn what Green Built Alliance is up to with friends. Food provided by Gypsy Queen and live music from Chikomo Marimba.

We’re back! Join us for the eighth annual CiderFest NC fundraiser, featuring ample tastings of hard cider, mead and apple wine, along with artisanal food, live music, workshops, a kids zone, and more along the scenic French Broad River.

WHEN:  Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 1 to 4 p.m.

WHERE:  Olivette Riverside Community & Farm, 1069 Olivette Road, just 6.7 miles from downtown Asheville, NC

WHAT:  Your ticket includes entry into the festival where you’ll receive a souvenir CiderFest NC 2oz glass that you are able to fill up with samples from over 20 local cideries. In addition to tasting cider and mead, guests can enjoy free bites of artisanal food including local cheeses, baked goods, caramels, ice cream, and more. Food and merchandise will be available for purchase from a mix of local food trucks and art vendors.

V.I.T. Tickets:  Again this year, a limited number of VIT (Very Important Taster) tickets offer advance entry to the event a full hour early beginning at noon to enjoy exclusive access to tastings from our cider and mead makers and artisanal food vendors before the crowds arrive. You may even have the opportunity to sample some specialty, small-batch or limited-release ciders and meads that won’t be available during the regular event.

CiderFest NC is hosted by Green Built Alliance in partnership with the NC Cider Association.

Join Our Staff for Class on Green Building Rebates & Certifications

Join our Green Building Program Manager Leigha Dickens as she leads August's Advanced Contractor Education class through the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

From 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, Leigha will be sharing information on the current rebates and certification programs available for homeowners and builders to boost energy efficiency.
