Whānau News: 2 September
Kia ora e te whānau,
Over the past couple of weeks I've found myself remembering how amazing my Dad was. Remembering the times I would wrap my arms around his neck when he was sitting at his desk, or the many Friday nights that Dad would wait patiently outside youth group to take all of my friend's home. I remember the many patient conversations, as he answered all of my questions and the Psalm that Dad gave me after I was baptised. These special memories are gifts (taonga) that I treasure. This Sunday is Father's Day. The day we honour the incredible men in our lives who have nurtured and encouraged us. Whether he is a Dad, an Uncle, or a friend. Take a moment to tell them how much you love them.
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul. PSALM 23:1-2 (the Psalm from my Dad)
Arohanui,
Sacha
