Sept 8, 5 pm, Knyvet Park, Brookline
Knyvet Park summer of 2020- remember this?

Dear Friends,

A  very brief note to let you know that we decided to begin our 26th season by playing music under the trees for you this Thursday afternoon, Sept. 8, at 5 pm, in Knyvet Park, Brookline. Three of my BSO pals, Owen Young, Julianne Lee, and Danny Kim, will join me and Mistral favorite Irina Muresanu for an hour of chamber music as the sun sets. We hope you will come with blankets, chairs, friends, and a picnic if you are so inclined. The weather forecast is perfect.

Please help us spread the word! It is our one and only outdoor concert so we want to play for as many of you as possible.

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
And by the way, our first real concert is in three weeks!

It has been said that more than any other composer, Mozart has the life-affirming superpower to make us feel happy to be alive. This mostly-Mozart program was chosen in light of all that is going on in the world that regularly threatens our ability to stay afloat in both heart and mind.

We are SO sorry that the 25th falls on Rosh Hashanah. We tried desperately to book a different date, but without luck.  Please consider coming to Andover the day before!
All best wishes,

Julie  julscol@me.com. I always love to hear from you.

Make a gift to Mistral - THANK YOU!
Thanks so much to those of you who have already read my memoir and posted reviews online. Beyond the thrill of finally seeing it in print after so many decades, I am touched by the frequent notes from readers who tell me it resonated deeply with them and brought back stories of their own. If you are curious to see written or video interviews, more info is at www.JulieScolnik.com. Available through Indie Booksellers, and Amazon. (Would be thrilled to join your bookclubs if interested!)

“Paris Blue is written with the tender romanticism of Wordsworth and the devastating realism of Flaubert. Her lyrical writing about music transforms these discordant halves into a compelling whole, creating a dazzling love letter to a life lived in music.”
