Tenterden Museum Takeover Day
Saturday 17 July, 11am-4pm
Station Road, Tenterden
On Saturday 17th July, two Homewood sixth formers are literally 'taking over the museum', when they play host to visitors to the Tenterden and District Museum, including running their own special exhibitions - on two very different subjects: motorcycles and rare books. Year 12 students Brad and Joe have undertaken the challenge as part of their preparation for joining Homewood's Ready For Work programme in the Autumn. When the museum opens at 11am both students will be on hand to welcome visitors and personally explain their exhibits, which they have curated over the last month under the expert guidance of Tenterden Museum curator Robin Wilkins.
Please do visit on Saturday and support them and the Museum. Museum Admission - Adults £2, Under 18’s, students, special needs & carers - free

Tenterden Leisure Centre News
Work is due to commence on freshening up the flume at Tenterden Leisure Centre from 26th July. The duration of the scheme will be approximately 3 weeks and consist of renovations and repainting of the flume steelwork, minor repairs to the Mosaic tiling and access stairway as well as some refreshment to the fibreglass and flow coating on the slide itself. The impact on customers is likely to be minimal as the Trust is coordinating works to take place overnight.

Tenterden Folk Festival 2021
30th September to 3rd October 2021
A NEAR NORMAL FESTIVAL!
News from Alan Castle, Folk Festival Director
"We are going ahead with a Covid safe Tenterden Folk Festival with a few changes but as near normal as possible. We will still be using most of our regular venues but will move some events to the larger venues to allow audiences and performers more space, so expect to see us making more use of The Tenterden Club, The Town Hall and especially St Mildred’s Church. We have some very special events lined up for you to enjoy as well as a near normal mix of concerts, song and music sessions, workshops, sea songs and shanties session, meet the guest events, dance displays, procession, crafts and stalls, free music stage, etc." >>> read more here
