Green Built Guide: August 2021

Sneak Peek at 2021 Directory,
Issue Hits Newsstands Next Month

The 2021 edition of our annual Green Building Directory magazine is hot off the press and distribution begins across Western North Carolina soon.

We're excited to be able to offer our newsletter insiders a sneak peek at the digital version of the magazine at this link, and members can watch their mailboxes for copies to be delivered in the coming weeks.

If you miss out on the member mailbox delivery perk, our directory will be available for pickup at 100 free newsstands across Western North Carolina beginning in September for the next year.

It's a delight to curate this wide-reaching educational experience for readers and elevate a snapshot of the year’s progress via case studies, feature articles, member spotlights and partner profiles. We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoy creating it.
Caring for Our Community:
Update on our Annual Fall Events

This is the time of year when our nonprofit community is normally looking forward to connecting at our annual member appreciation party in September and celebrating at our CiderFest NC fundraiser in October.

Much as we were excited to gather this fall after missing each other last year and in hopes of celebrating our nonprofit's 20-year anniversary, our community's health and safety come first.

Based on our conversations with numerous local event planners and venues, and in light of the ongoing uncertainty related to the impact of COVID-19 variants, our nonprofit has decided to cancel its in-person events for this fall with hopes that we can safely resume in-person networking and fundraising events in 2022.

Please note that we will be offering a vibrant calendar of virtual continuing-education events for the requirements of contractors, architects and other building professionals. Watch next month's newsletters for dates and details on new and returning classes!
