Col. Lawrence Wilkerson is an adjunct professor of government and public policy at the College of William and Mary and the former Chief of Staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell (2002 to 2005). He is a critic of the U.S. foreign policy surrounding the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars, Iran, and the New Cold Wars with China and Russia, and asserts that the U.S. is not a democracy but a war state that forces its will on the global community. We meet Hannah Schuller, a newly returned PAM member. She lived in Beirut from 1969 to 1975. In 1994 she returned to the Middle East as a member of Peace Action Maine with PAX World Travel where she met with professors, peacemakers, the press, occupants of refugee camps, settlements and kibbutz, polititians, and priests. She taught in a college in Galilee in 1995. When she returned to Maine back then, she spoke to the Dover Friends Meeting, the announcement is shared here. We hope she shares more of her Middle East experiences with us after calling in and reconnecting.
