Everything in creation is so beautiful. What do you want to create? If your goal is to be useful to humanity, then it’s a creative goal. In fact, simply by thinking, we’re always creating something. As Thay would say, “Because we have seen the path, we have nothing more to fear.” We know our direction in life, we know what to do, and what not to do to relieve suffering in ourselves, in others, and in the world; and we know the art of stopping, looking deeply, and generating true joy and happiness.” Now is a moment to come back to our mindful breathing and walking, to generate the energy of peace, compassion, and gratitude to offer our beloved Teacher. Nobody can be “good enough,” because that’s just a thought. If we imagine some way we should be, and then we berate ourselves for not living up to how we imagine we should be, that is just this bizarre thing the mind does of beating itself up. Sometimes it does that because of childhood conditioning. MORE

Brahma means God, specifically the God of creation. And it also is a shortened form of Brahman, The Absolute, used in compounds. Carya derives from the verbal root car which means to behave, act, conduct oneself, live, move. So, it literally means to carry oneself as God, or to move about as God... MORE
