Feb. 15 "Love to Afghanistan, Act NOW to Stop Starvation in Afghanistan" national solidarity events were a success. We called on Congress from Congress Square Park and on Biden administration to Unfreeze Afghan funds, photos HERE. FMI from Afghan women here.
Feb 17, Thurs. 11:30, 1 hr.  In response to a national call for protests on February 17 against a possible US-UK-NATO war with Russia, we will be protesting in Bath near General Dynamics/BIW. All are invited - please bring appropriate signs that are large enough to be read by cars at a busy intersection. Feb 17, Thursday 7 PM, Double Feature! Not to be missed! two Kane-Lewis Production features. At the Patriot Cinemas - Nickelodeon in Portland.   Both artists will appear in person and will be speaking. Stand with the artist with her new ARRT Stop NATO Expansion banner at the Nickelodeon prior to showtime at 6:30. (It will be part of the 11:30 protest in Bath before traveling south.) The double features:
    Natasha Mayers: An Un-Still Life: Presenting an artist who has remained true to her passion for over 50 years, the film follows Natasha as she takes on social, economic and environmental justice issues with humor, irreverence and a keen aesthetic that enlightens while it entertains.
   Truth Tellers is a new documentary film diving into the lives of courageous Americans fighting for racial justice, climate change and indigenous rights through the eyes of Robert Shetterly, a long time activist and artist. 

Monday,Feb 7  Dr. Shah Mehrabi spoke about the economic and humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan. If you missed the program, here is a recent summary of his suggestions.
