Welcome to the Connection Corner
Connection Corner is our weekly update about what is happening in the life of the church. We encourage you to read this every week, as we are going to give more detail about events and news here; and keep notices during Sunday services to the minimum in order to leave space for God to move as and when He wants.
Short-term missions trip to Cambodia
Kevin and Gillian who are based in Cambodia and are part of the Franklin Baptist Church family, have reached out for practical help for the work they're doing in Cambodia as missionaries. Nigel Brown has felt prompted to lead a short-term missionary trip to visit Kevin and Gillian from 21st February - 6th March 2025. Not only will the team assist in creating resources for their work, but they will see what life is like for missionaries overseas. During their free time, they will also have opportunity to explore (as a team) some of the local tourist sites.
If you think this is something you would like to do, please see Nigel after church or contact him on 021 881 573 or 4chocchips@gmail.com

Coming up this Sunday
The sermon topic for this week's service is "It’s about the Journey: my story, your story, our story." Rachel Roche will continue with us on our journey through Romans 12:1-2.
So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. Romans 12:1-2 (The Message)
