Every day, we are restoring safety and accessibility along our sidewalks and in our public spaces by removing encampments and moving people into safer settings. For the first time in a decade, we are towing problematic RVs and managing our curb space. We're trimming overgrown trees and vegetation, removing trash and debris, improving our parks, and making the Westside more liveable for every neighborhood. While progress can seem slow, we’ve conducted over 80 vehicle dwelling operations this year, resulting in the removal of hundreds of RVs from our streets. This week, our work brought us to Ladera, West LA, Del Rey, Playa Vista, Westchester and Venice. If you need assistance in your area, please contact our Westchester District Office.

    Supporting CD11 Families This Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving Food Giveaway and Resource Fair at the West LA Municipal Office was a tremendous success! With the support of our partners, we provided complete Thanksgiving meals and resources to hundreds of community members in need. My heart is full of gratitude to all the volunteers who supported our event, and a big thank you to the Westside Food Bank and your CD11 West Los Angeles Field Deputy, Michael Amster, for this beautiful day.

Honoring Our Heroes At LAFD
Our heroes at LAFD go above and beyond every day. It was an honor to attend the Medal of Valor Awards to showcase the incredible acts of those who put others above themselves. I also spent the morning with our friends at United Firefighters of Los Angeles City Local 112, who always show up bigtime for CD11!
LAX Delays - Plan Accordingly
Travelers through LAX should expect delays during holiday travel due to potential worker rallies over proposed wage increases for hotel and airport workers. The issue highlights a vulnerable moment for Los Angeles’ tourism industry. I’m closely monitoring these developments and will keep you updated as the Council revisits this critical issue.

Venice Leads In LA Tourism
Your CD11 team is working hard to restore safety, accessibility, and our vibrant sports, arts, and music and culture in Venice Beach. We still have a lot of work to do, but since taking office, Venice went from being ranked as the most dangerous beach in the country, to being named by Travel + Leisure as the best beach in the US! And this week, we are stoked to highlight LOST iN Venice Beach, the ultimate guide to Venice, which includes interviews with locals, top picks across the neighborhood, a selection of the most underrated places to visit, and so much more. We loved seeing local live music favorite, Winston House, featured as well!

Freddie Freeman Grand Slam Ball To Hit The Auction Block
It's been a whirlwind few weeks for 10 year-old Venice resident, Zac Ruderman, since catching Freddie Freeman’s World Series grand slam ball. It was a blast to host the Ruderman family in Council to celebrate this incredible moment, and as the ball heads to the auction block, we wish Zac and his family best of luck!
