The arrival of our new District Attorney, Nathan Hochman, is a long-overdue turning point for our City. On Tuesday, I had the privilege of offering remarks during his swearing-in ceremony, sharing our vision for a safer Los Angeles. I look forward to working with our new DA to restore safety on our streets and accountability in our justice system.

Our City partners and the CD11 Beautification Team were out in force across the Westside this week maintaining sidewalks, trimming trees, improving street cleanliness, and removing unsafe vehicles from our curb space. Every day, we are restoring safety and accessibility by removing encampments and moving people into safer settings. If you need assistance in your area, please contact our Westchester District Office.

Second Annual CD11 Veterans Resource Fair

Team CD11 was thrilled to partner with our friends at New Directions for Veterans in hosting our second annual veterans resource fair at the West Los Angeles VA campus. Dozens of service organizations and government agencies and programs, including Village for Vets, HireLAX and DWP's Valor apprenticeship program, connected with hundreds of local veterans to offer employment, educational, health, housing, and other resources to our veterans. We are already looking forward to doing it again next year!

Venice Canals Association Toy Drive

I had a great time dropping off toys and books at the Venice Canals Association and LA Fire Department holiday toy drive at Linnie Canal Park. Huge thanks to our friends at Fire Station 63 for swinging by on behalf of Santa to pick up all the donated gifts!

Celebrating 25 Years Of Everychild Foundation’s Impact

It was a privilege to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Everychild Foundation in Council chambers on Friday. Based in the Pacific Palisades, Everychild has over 200 dedicated members who raise money for projects and programs to help children in need across the Greater Los Angeles area. We are so proud of their work and look forward to seeing what they do next!

My Park's Pick this week is one of my personal favorites, the Goodr Cabana on Abbot Kinney! They have an amazing selection of reasonably priced, fun, performance sunglasses - you literally cannot walk out without buying a pair! As we head into the holiday season, remember to shop local, and don't miss Goodr if you're looking for a fabulous local gift!
