Our meeting remains at 6:00 P.M. in Tempe at the same location on the Second Tuesday of every month... sorry for the typo. We did try to move the date but every date we tried brought more conflicts. If you have time, we do need newsletter and social media assistance, so please let me now if you'd like to work on either.
In February we will have Tempe Mayor Corey Woods and we'll be hearing from the ACLU on restoring the rights of felons.
Also, we will be taking a break for July and moving November to a Zoom meeting this year.
Today starts the legislative session, make sure to keep an eye on everything. If you want to send me some pieces of legislation that need support, please do so. I'll be starting to send out emails on legislation we should support or speak out against throughout the legislative session.
Please do not point me to CEBV, I do know they exist... I'm not going to copy their list and send it out once.
I'd like to send out action requests in sets of three pieces of legislation at a time and will try to use the PC or legislator who wants to advocate for or against certain positions. We will likely have a lot of information for major issues, but I do want to highlight legislation that we're putting out there so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle.
