This week, the City Council unanimously passed my legislation to protect tenants from being evicted or charged extra fees from landlords if they take in displaced fire victims and their pets. We also launched the Ad Hoc Committee for LA Recovery, where Palisades residents made their voices heard and federal, state, and city officials were questioned about ensuring a swift and effective recovery. I'm in this with you for the long haul, so we will use this Committee to secure every resource we need to bring the Palisades back. Our work together continues!

Washington Square Fire Fundraiser Block Party
Venice is showing up big-time this weekend to support our Firefighters and our friends from the Palisades! Festivities kick off at 9 a.m. on Saturday with a pancake breakfast at Fire Station 63 (suggested $10 donation), with proceeds going directly to our beloved fire station. Then the party moves down to Washington Square at Nalu Vida (1 Washington Blvd.) at noon for a day of live entertainment, including a performance by one of my favorite local bands, The Brobots, as well as comedians other local bands and DJs. The evening will feature dinner service, a UFC viewing, and a late-night DJ set. Come for the cause, stay for the fun!
