Merry Christmas and Happy Kwanzaa! I love this time of year as it serves as a reminder of the importance of community, peace, joy, and compassion - and a respite from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives. We need this time as a celebration of growth and renewal.

Me encanta esta época del año, ya que sirve como recordatorio de la importancia de la comunidad, la paz, la alegría y la compasión, y un respiro del ajetreo y el bullicio de nuestra vida cotidiana. Necesitamos este tiempo como una celebración del crecimiento y la renovación.

It has been such a memorable and exciting season. I hope you are enjoying this beautiful time of gratitude and generosity. From holiday parades, to community meals, and the many toy drives, we came together to give back to our neighbors. This is what community is all about.

Ha sido una temporada muy memorable y emocionante. Espero que estén disfrutando de este hermoso momento de gratitud y generosidad. Desde los desfiles festivos hasta las comidas comunitarias y las muchas entregas de juguetes, nos reunimos para retribuir a nuestros vecinos. De esto se trata la comunidad.

It was my honor to host some of these events with 8 Winter Wonderlands throughout the One-Five. Starting in Harbor Gateway North at the Gardena Boys and Girls Club, we worked our way around the district to Wilmington, Watts, San Pedro, Harbor City, and back again to Harbor Gateway South! It was so special to see our residents together, enjoying tree lightings, Santa, sledding, snow play and much more!

Fue un honor para mí organizar algunos de estos eventos con 8 Winter Wonderlands a lo largo del One-Five. Comenzando en Harbor Gateway North en el Gardena Boys and Girls Club, cubrimos todo el distrito hasta Wilmington, Watts, San Pedro, Harbor City, ¡y de vuelta a Harbor Gateway South! ¡Fue tan especial ver a nuestros residentes juntos, disfrutando de la iluminación de los árboles, Papá Noel, los trineos, los juegos de nieve y mucho más!

These past few weeks especially have been non-stop with events, celebrations, and ceremonies. I hope you take the time today to spend some time with loved ones and cherish memories of your holiday season.
