Monitoring LAHSA's Performance

Local taxpayers have contributed billions of dollars to LAHSA's budget over the last two decades, but year after year, homelessness has only worsened. With fiscal uncertainty, the end of COVID-era homeless funding, and the City entering a contracted budget cycle, it is more important than ever to ensure every dollar is spent to effectively address tent and RV encampments.

Over the last year, I introduced several motions to bring more transparency and accountability to LAHSA and its non-profit service providers, including the exploration of key performance indicators to measure results. We anticipate receiving our report back by the end of the month, and I look forward updating you as we move forward with these efforts.
