Dear Friends and Neighbors:

This week, we joined residents in Lincoln Heights to celebrate the installation of a new all-way stop at the intersection of Griffin Ave and E Ave 31. This is just one of several safety improvements that we’ve been able to bring to the district through collaboration with the Department of Transportation (LADOT) and, most importantly, community members like you. It’s no secret that we need to do more to make Vision Zero a reality for Los Angeles. Here in CD1, we’re excited to advance more projects like this that improve pedestrian and bike safety and make our streets safer for everyone.

Next week, we kick off 3-1-1 Week here in Los Angeles! You can use MyLA311 to request City services, including bulky item pickup, graffiti removal, streetlight repair, and more. Make sure you download the MyLA311 app and check our video with LA CityView 35 on how to use the app to keep our neighborhoods clean and safe.

In solidarity and gratitude,

Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez
