The Los Angeles City Council recently celebrated Jewish American Heritage Month and brought together dozens of Jewish organizations who work tirelessly to give back to our city. These organizations have undoubtedly made Los Angeles a better place for all and our collective acknowledgment of their work is a small token of appreciation for their endless dedication.

This week also marked the inaugural Foster Youth Shadow Day at City Hall. Thanks to the efforts of Mayor Karen Bass, participants were given the unique opportunity to spend a day shadowing elected officials in the city. Throughout the day, participants gained valuable insights into how council offices operate and the work they do. The program was a great success at sharing knowledge and life experiences and providing a glimpse into a typical day at City Hall.

Lastly, I want to take a moment to wish a happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms across our city who fill our lives with unconditional love and support. I hope you enjoy a peaceful weekend celebrating the women who make us better every day!
