Happy Women's History Month! This month, we celebrate the incredible contributions of women throughout history and in our communities today. From trailblazers who have shaped our nation to the strong women leading and inspiring us every day, their impact is immeasurable. Let’s continue to uplift, support, and recognize the vital role of women in Los Angeles and beyond.

Keeping our neighborhoods clean and safe is a top priority. Our local LASAN crews have been working hard to tackle illegal dumping across our district, with numerous pickups to clear debris and keep our streets looking their best. Community beautification and maintenance are ongoing efforts, and I’m grateful for the residents who report issues and take pride in their neighborhoods. Let’s continue working together to keep our communities clean, safe, and beautiful!

On a final note, I was thrilled to join the incredible parents and players for the opening day of the Granada Hills Little League! These young sluggers never fail to inspire and bring joy to our community, and it was an honor to help kick off another exciting season. I look forward to cheering them on throughout the year!

New Horizons, a San Fernando Valley-based nonprofit dedicated to advancing the rights and life choices of individuals with disabilities — invites the public to its 16th Annual Walk-a-Thon event on the campus of New Horizons, located at 15725 Parthenia Street, North Hills, CA 91343. March Reduced Adoption Fee Weekends

LA Animal Services will offer reduced adoption fees for the weekends in March to help the pets in the six Centers find loving homes. To encourage animal lovers to adopt, LA Animal Services invites you to meet your new canine buddy or feline friend at one of its special adoption weekend events happening in March!

• March 8-9: Daylight Saving Adoption Weekend

• March 15-16: Happy St. Patty's Day Adoption Weekend

• March 22-23: National Puppy Day Adoption Weekend

• March 29-30: March Madness Adoption Weekend
  

Reduced adoption fees for dogs, $51 (not including a $20 license fee for LA City residents); puppies, $75; cats, $12.50; and kittens, $25. Click here to find available pets.
