March 14, 2025

Each year, I have the privilege of honoring an exceptional woman at the Commission on the Status of Women's Annual Award Ceremony, now known as the Women of Impact Awards. This year, I was proud to recognize Hilda Sarkisyan as Council District 12’s Woman of Impact.

From her work with the Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council to her deep devotion as a loving mother and wife, and her relentless advocacy for healthcare reform, Hilda’s contributions have left an indelible mark on our community.

A heartfelt thank you to Hilda and all the remarkable women of Council District 12 whose efforts continue to shape our community for the better. Your influence is deeply felt—not just during Women’s History Month, but year-round—and I know your impact will resonate for years to come.

Did you know this week marked the annual MyLA311 Week? MyLA311 is a simple way to help keep our City clean and beautiful! Whether it’s reporting bulky item pick-up, graffiti removal, weed abatement, or street light issues, MyLA311 makes it easy for you to make a difference.

You can report concerns by calling 3-1-1, downloading the MyLA311 app, or visiting myla311.lacity.org. Let's continue working together to address concerns and keep our neighborhoods clean and safe.
