Building consent processing delays

Processing delays

Building and resource consent applications are currently taking longer to process due to a large number of applications and the Proposed District Plan appeals and decisions. At the moment, all applications must be processed under the operative and proposed District Plan, which is impacting timings.

We apologise for the delay.

Do you love Tuakau?

Candidates keen to stand for the vacant positions on the Tuakau Community Board can now put their name forward for candidacy.

A lack of candidates in the October Local Government elections prompted the vacancies.

Nomination papers are available from Council’s Tuakau and Ngaruawahia Offices, by phoning 0800 922 822 or via our website. Learn more.

noise control

Think about your neighbours

If you’re planning a party this summer, please be considerate of your neighbours.

  • Tell them about the event before it happens
  • Ask them to phone you if they think the noise is too loud
  • Keep doors and windows closed to contain the noise and ask guests to keep the noise down when they’re entering or leaving your home
  • Reduce the bass level of the music

Experiencing noise that you feel is too loud? You can call us anytime on 0800 492 452. We'll need to assess the volume so make sure you call us when the noise is happening.

Always take the scenic route! Pipiwharauroa Trail winds over the Te Uku Wind Farm site.
