Camping out in Colossians / Link to online service 1 January 2023

Greetings!

As we approach the New Year we want to encourage you to make space for Jesus as the number one priority.
We’ve shaped our January series around spiritual practices that will help each of us start the year well:
  • Sitting in Scripture
  • Resting in God’s refreshing Presence
  • Enjoying Creation with our Creator
  • Deepening relationship with Jesus
  • Releasing the past and embracing new life
  • Fresh devotion to prayer
  • Discovering God’s power at work in us

The series is based on the book of Colossians.  We’re “camping out in Colossians” for the month!

Here’s a link to our online service on 1st January.

Here’s a link to a digital copy of “Camping out in Colossians” booklet which we will refer to throughout January.

Next week (8th January) we will focus on gathering in small groups.  This could be a life group, the people you are on holiday with, a family group at home.
There will be online content available.
For those who need a small group gathering, you are welcome to meet at the church café at 10am.

May you know God’s refreshing presence this week
Grace and peace
Tim

Christmas Offering for "Missions"
For many years FBC has allocated its Christmas Day Offering to a "Missions" project. Last year the funds went to help Kevin and Gillian Bird employ a local worker. This person has worked out really well and they would like to keep him employed for another year if possible. The GAT Team would like to recommend that we again allocate the traditional Christmas Offering to this cause. Click this link for more details. The appeal is open through to the end of Jan. Please deposit any funds via the church bank account 01 0403 0013842 00 including the Ref. Christmas Offering or click here, and donate under "Overseas Missions"
