My first week back
It is a great privilege to once again be serving you all as the Interim Pastor at FBC. So, this week I found myself sitting behind a desk in the church office wondering, 'what have I done?' I know that God has clearly called me back to FBC to be involved, so I am looking to Him. I'm looking to Him in the midst of this time of change, to give me the wisdom, strength and a clear mind to achieve His purposes. I'm also relying on your prayers, as do all the staff, to be able to serve with our whole hearts, remaining faithful to God's call.

We are all disappointed about the postponement of the Palmer family's farewell service and as a result we are going to look at the question: 'What do we do when we are confronted with disappointments in our lives? Those disappointments can be big or small, yet all of us are affected by them at some stage or another. God knows and understands and scripture speaks into those moments when disappointments come. We are going to hear from a few individuals who will share how God has helped them deal with their own disappointments. Join us at 10AM in-person or online. We would love to have you join us online for the service if you are unwell.

Next week we hope to celebrate the Palmers whanau. The children will be in for the first part of the service, including the decommissioning and then we will move out into kid's programmes.

Prayer at 5pm
We are called as a people who follow Christ to be radically different. We are called to walk with our creator and to have our minds transformed by his presence in prayer and praise. This takes time and effort to spend the time with Christ in prayer. But it is a living experience like no other, as God walks and talks with his people. Won’t you join us - Sundays, 5pm in the Church Auditorium

A Book of Testimonies for the Palmers
On Sunday morning there will be a book available in the foyer for you to share how God has worked/moved in your life over the last seven years. It is a place to share testimonies of how God has led you, helped you to grow, miracles that God has graciously given. We would love this book to be an encouragement to Tim and his whānau, showing how God has been at work during the time Tim has been serving us as the Senior Pastor of FBC. Please take some time to write your story. If you would like to bring in a photo to stick in the book, you are most welcome!
